Bailey our new 2022 VW California Ocean T6.1 campervan hire has arrived!

Here at Active Kampers campervan hire in East Sussex we are really excited as our new VW California Ocean 6.1 in Bayleaf green has arrived for hire from autumn 2022. Supplied once again by the excellent Matt Weller at SMG Tonbridge. We already have a T6.1 in Ascot Grey and a white T6 California Ocean available (2021 and 2019 better known as Clive and Casper). We’ve gone really bold this time with a much brighter and more striking metallic Bayleaf green colour choice to distinguish from the usual popular grey tones. We hope you like Bailey!

A stunning VW California Ocean T6.1 in Bayleaf Green

Last year when we got our first T6.1 we were impressed with the T6.1 upgrade with the cool digital cockpit, smarter and more practical darker grey camping interior and the new camping touchscreen console (for the roof, heater and fridge plus services).

With the T6.1 California Ocean the rest of the campervan remains pretty much the same as the T6 Ocean and T5 California SE before with the key features of sliding rear bench seat to 3/4 width bed and two burner hob and sink kitchenette with the excellent fridge, plus the amazing and comfortable pop-up roof bed.

Due to our experience with Active Kampers, we have just bought our very own Casper (although much older). I can safely say that this would not have happened had our experience been any different. From pick up Matt was flexible, accommodating and gave a very detailed run through of the van whilst utilising Covid safety procedures. Casper was immaculate, the beauty here is you feel as if you driving away a brand new van, which effectively it was. Casper contained all the necessary equipment and the addition of the four bike rack was a no brainer - we needed it. We had a very comfortable nights sleep on it on grandparents driveway - a great way to see and ‘stay’ with family whilst maintaining social distancing! I will be recommending only this company to friends and colleagues. The pleasure of the experience is a credit to both Matt and Petra and the package they offer.
